NATUREBUTE - is the Pegasus Health registered name under UK patent for Boswellia serrata

Boswellia serrata is a traditional Ayurvedic herb used to promote soundness and comfort, optimizing blood circulation to repair injury.  It is far more effective than Devil's Claw which is often used in the UK for the same purposes.  A description of the herb and it's uses can be found in The Encyclopedia of Medicinal Plants by Andrew Chevallier and published by Dorling Kindersley, currently out of print but avail-able through www.beaverbooksearch.com.  'Research carried out in India noted  that when the herb was given to patients with rheumatoid arthritis ...... the majority noted significant improvement in symptoms such as pain, stiffness and poor grip strength. There is also evidence that boswellia may be valuable in other auto-immune conditions such as ulcerative colitis.'

Key constituents: triterpene acids including beta-boswellic acid, essential oil, terpenols, monosacharides, uronic acid, sterols and tannins. NatureBute is prepared from the resin and cut 50/50% with rice flour to form a manageable powder. 

Feeding:  1.5 to 2.5 grams per 100kg bodyweight, divided between 2 feeds about 12 hours apart daily.

Use the lower rate to introduce and the higher rate if required. An average 16.2hh horse is about 500kg and 300g will last it about 24 to 40 days.
